Return & Refund Policy

Yesterday Restored provides custom digital photo restoration and colorization services. Because each order is created specifically from the photo or photos you upload, we do not accept returns.

Digital Delivery

All completed restorations are delivered as digital files by email or download link. No physical prints, frames, albums, or mailed products are included unless specifically stated otherwise.

Cancellations

Orders may be canceled only if work has not yet begun. If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at support@yesterdayrestored.com.

Once work has begun on your photo restoration, the order cannot be canceled or refunded.

Refunds

Because each restoration is custom-created, refunds are not provided once work has begun.

Refunds are not provided for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • A customer dislikes the artistic interpretation

  • A customer expected different colors in a colorized image

  • The original photo was blurry, tiny, low-resolution, dark, overexposed, or out of focus

  • The customer expected exact historical color accuracy

  • The customer expected exact facial reconstruction or exact likeness where the original photo did not contain enough visible detail

  • The customer later provides color details or preferences that were not included at the time of upload

  • The customer expected a printed or mailed product when the order clearly states digital delivery

Restoration Limitations

The quality of the final restoration depends on the quality of the original photo submitted.

We can often improve faded, scratched, creased, yellowed, damaged, black-and-white, sepia, and older color photographs. However, very blurry, tiny, low-resolution, dark, overexposed, or out-of-focus photos may have limited results.

AI-assisted restoration can enhance visible details, but it cannot perfectly recover facial features or details that were not clearly captured in the original image. When important details are missing or unclear, the technology may estimate those details, which can change how a person or object appears.

Colorized images are artistically estimated and may not exactly match the original colors or historical reality.

Technical Issues

If there is a technical issue with your delivered file, such as a corrupted file, missing file, or delivery problem, please contact us at support@yesterdayrestored.com within 7 days of delivery.

Please include your name, order number, and a brief description of the issue. We will review the problem and do our best to help.

Revisions

Minor technical issues may be reviewed at our discretion, but revisions are not guaranteed.

We do not guarantee changes based on details that were not visible in the original photo or not provided at the time of order, including exact clothing colors, eye colors, flower colors, vehicle colors, background details, or other historical details.

If you know specific color details, please include them when uploading your photo.
